Festival Betances has become a staple in New England’s Latinx community. Be one of the 3,000 people in the crowd at the longest-running festival in New England! We're especially proud to announce that this year we'll be putting Latinas en foco — Latinas in focus —with a feamle led artist lineup.

Kicking off the event with a parade, our family-friendly weekend includes a parade, internationally acclaimed Latin musicians, traditional cuisine, arts and crafts, a greased pole competition, children’s activities like face painting and inflatables, and other treats that highlight the diversity of Latinx culture.

Come enjoy the festival, listen to music and take some unique FLAKOVELI art home with you.

This interactive, inaugural symposium will explore art and social justice among Afro-Latinxs in the US. We are drawing across disciplines and media, including arts, video, poetry, and music, to illuminate “Afro-Latinidad” among Latinx transnational communities of the African diaspora. This event is open to Harvard students and the broader community in MA.
